Soo.. which song is technically not a Christmas song? Do you know this song?

Yes because of the LINE: Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! we all think about the Christmas holidays when we hear this song but it wasn’t originally a Christmas song!

It was written by Sanny Cahn and composed by Jule Styne in July 1945 in California. Can you imagine the weather in July in California? Yes, it was pretty hot. And that year there was a heat wave so this song expresses a wish for snow and colder conditions because the heat was so terrible! If you listen carefully, the song actually never mentions Christmas.

But with time, we just kinda took it as a Christmas song and now you can’t go to the shop without hearing it.
