Today, we will find out which Christmas song holds a Guinness Record.

Do you recognize this song?

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way…?

Yes, we even have our own Czech version of this carol! The words jingle bells are the literal translation so if you didn’t know what jingle bells are, I hope you now know! The song, written by James Lord Pierpont (USA) in 1857, was originally titled „One-Horse Open Sleigh“.

As you might have guessed this is also the one that holds a Guinness World record from 1965. Which record you ask? Prepare YOURSELF!

Jingle Bells became the first song played in space! it was broadcast during NASA’s Gemini 6A space flight.

Pretty cool, isn’t it?

And now you know!
