Home Alone is my favourite Christmas movie and I watch it every year. That is why I always wanted to know fun facts about it and today I will share 5 of them with you! So if you want to know them, keep on listening!

Today, we will talk about a great movie called Home Alone – if you only know the Czech name of the movie, it is the movie about a boy Kevin who is accidentally left behind when his whole family leaves for vacation. He then has to protect his house against two burglars Marv and Harry. Do you know which movie I am talking about?

Fun Fact No.1: It was directed by the same director as the first two movies of Harry Potter- Chris Columbus and what is interesting is that he even cooperated with the same music composer John Williams- if you listen to the theme, it has a similar vibe – can you hear it?

Fun Fact No. 2: Have you ever wondered, how many times would Harry and Marv die through the first two movies? Well, you don’t have to wonder anymore. Screen Junkies, who make videos on youtube, asked a real medical doctor to tell them exactly what would happen to the burglars through the first two Home Alone movies. Turns out Harry would die nine times and Marv at least 14 times.

Fun Fact No.3: To ensure the festive Christmas theme was very visible throughout the entire movie, a red and green color scheme was heavily used in nearly all the scenes. Chris Columbus was DETERMINED!

If you watch it, try to notice it. I can’t unsee it anymore! The wallpaper is red. The walls are painted green. The pots in the kitchen are red. Even the phone is green!
