Day 17: What Is the Most Expensive Christmas Ornament In the World?

If you are rich and are looking for something special for your Christmas tree this year, I have a tip for you. What is the most expensive ornament that you could buy? Listen and you will know!

Hi and Welcome to the advent edition of my podcast My Life and Other Funny Stories. In this edition, I bring you a new short Christmas-themed episode every day of December until Christmas. If you want to read the transcript of this episode, click the link in the description!

Today, we will talk about the most expensive ornament in the world!

If you still have some money after you buy all the presents, it is time for some ornament shopping! And if you have a pocket full of cash, there is no better way than to spend it on the most expensive ornament in the world!

So what is it? It is a bauble (bauble is the name for the small balls we put on the Christmas tree). It is made with 1,578 diamonds AND covered in 18-carat white gold. Two rings made of 188 red rubies surround the ornament. On the website of the ornament, I read that it took over 130 hours just to put the rubies inside. But this doesn’t stop here. It also has 31-carat diamonds put into the ball itself. If you want to see it, you will find a photo of it in the transcript.

If this didn’t convince you, when you buy it, it also comes in a luxurious hand-made wooden box. What are you waiting for?

Oh, the price?

It is valued at $130,000 which is over 3 million Czech crowns!

I bet your Christmas tree would look amazing with this on it. Don’t you agree?
